April Update

April Update

April has been all about preparation, polish, and a little surprise momentum as we inch closer to broader testing. Here's a look at what we've been up to:

Polish & Improvements

We dedicated a large chunk of April to tightening up the intro sequence and tutorial. These are the first moments players experience in the game, so we want to make sure they feel engaging, intuitive, and bug-free. Whether it's the flow of onboarding or the clarity of early mechanics, we've made lots of subtle (and some not-so-subtle) tweaks to set the tone right.

Alongside that, we knocked out 100+ minor bugs—yes, we’ve been busy! From animation glitches to edge-case UI quirks, these fixes have helped smooth out the overall experience in preparation for testing.

We've also added support for alternative keyboard layouts—a long-requested feature that makes the game more accessible and comfortable to a wider range of players. AZERTY, Dvorak, Colemak fans: we see you!

Surprise Playtest Surge

Here’s the exciting part: we invited a few friends to test at the beginning of May, and... things escalated in the best way. Word

spread faster than we expected, and suddenly we had dozens of eager testers jumping in—some completely unprompted!

Even though this wasn’t part of our original plan, the spontaneous wave of testers has been incredibly helpful. We’ve already uncovered issues we wouldn't have found otherwise and have been blown away by the feedback. What’s more: many of these players have already logged over 20 hours in the game. That kind of engagement has been a massive confidence boost for us—we think we’ve got something special here.

A huge THANKS to everyone that came out to play, and for having patience when things were less than perfect. (Sorry for the bank wipe bug. We're working on it!)

What's Next

We're still planning a more structured testing phase, with better onboarding and feedback tools. But the early results are very promising, and we're more energized than ever to keep building and refining.

Thanks for following along. We can’t wait to get more of you into the game soon!
